Our Approach

Meet Our Lead Pediatric PT

Maria Ivonne Norman, PT, DPT, CDP, CPRCS

Zero to Five Therapy is thrilled to have Maria Ivonne Norman leading our team! With over 15 years of experience as a physical therapist helping patients of all ages and their families, she brings joy, creativity, and expertise to every session.

Her journey started in the Philippines, where she earned her Bachelor of Physical Therapy from University of the Philippines, and continued in the U.S. with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Utica University, New York. 🌏✈️ Along the way, she has worked with patients of all ages—from newborns to 100+ years old—in multiple states across the U.S. and even in the Middle East! She speaks English, Tagalog, and a bit of Arabic, which helps her connect with families from many backgrounds.

Maria Ivonne believes therapy should feel like play, not work. She loves turning exercises into games, singing songs with kiddos, and celebrating every milestone, big or small. 🧸🎶🎉

Her approach is simple: playful, hands-on, and family-centered. She works closely with parents and caregivers, so you feel confident supporting your child’s growth every step of the way. 🏡💪

*Fun fact: You’ll often hear her singing, clapping, or cheering during sessions. She believes celebrating every little milestone — a first crawl, first step, or confident reach — makes therapy exciting for kids and parents alike. 🎉

🏅 Recently Earned Certification: Certified Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist

Maria Ivonne is proud to have earned the Certified Primitive Reflex Clinical Specialist, demonstrating advanced training and commitment to providing the highest quality care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.

This specialized training gives Maria Ivonne additional ways to understand a child's movement patterns and development. By incorporating fun, play-based activities into therapy, she can help support skills such as balance, coordination, strength, and participation in everyday routines, helping children learn, play, and grow with confidence.
